Fun & (Lawn) Games for a Backyard Bar Mitzvah Celebration!

We had the pleasure of joining in on the festivities for R’s bar mitzvah celebration, planned by the ever talented, creative, and kind Paula Smith of Your Event.

A bar mitzvah (for boys, and bat mitzvah for girls) is a Jewish coming of age ceremony that literally translates to “son of the commandments.” A milestone marking the religious adulthood of a boy on his 13th birthday, he is granted all the rights and obligations of a Jewish adult and deemed personally responsible for fulfilling the commandments. It is a great honor, and we were thrilled to ‘play’ our little part in the celebration!

Since we spend a quarter of our lives working, that was certainly an area demanding attention. So I left retail and begin my career freelancing for small businesses whose higher purpose transcends profit.

I aim to see around corners while staying focused on the moment. I'm self directed but have over a decade of experience successfully working with teams. And while I've surely got bills to pay, I know it's my social responsibility to be selective about where I put my energy.
